    the fox does toronto

    Belle and me.

It is February, which means that we are nearing the most important day of the year here at Rugged Fox: Valentine’s Day. To celebrate the momentous occasion, I am flying to Toronto tomorrow to be with my long-time love, Belle, and my best friend, Patrick. My flight leaves tomorrow morning at seven which officially means that tonight I will be going right from the dance floor to the airport.

Originally Belle and I had planned on going balls to the wall bubbly and all Monday night at some posh restaurant downtown; except upon further review of both our budgets, we have decided to dine à la her apartment instead. It has been well over a year now since my boyfriend VISA last put out. Who would’ve ever thought the only way to save money on a credit card is to max it out?

Well, there is no question I am excited about returning to the New York of the North after my previous visit. It was the summer of my discontent, the last time I graced Toronto with my presence. Prior to my trip, my heart had been rolled up and smoked by a past lover on the West Coast. Left reeking of premium vodka, I was the biggest Queen on Queen Street that July.

This time around I am more sober than ever and have the biceps to prove it. No boy is going to ruin this Valentine’s Day and that is because I haven’t met anyone in three years. (LOL).  On that note, I have re-posted the application to be my first husband. Click here to see if you have what it takes and here to fill in the form.

Here are my goals for while I am in Toronto:

    1. Have Valentine’s Dinner with Belle and pretend that I am straight.
    2. Shop for unacceptably tight pants in Kensington Market.
    3. Catch up with my best friend Patrick over a single-malt scotch.
    4. Show off my upper body at Woody’s in the gay village.
    5. Cheers a cosmo with my heart full of love.
    6. See some sort of live music/theatre/anything with some ounce of culture that you cannot find on the Coast.
    7. Relax.

Talk to you when I get back!
